Bangladesh Under-19s made it to the final of the U19 CWC 2020 after a convincing victory over New Zealand in the semi-final. Beckham Wheeler-Greenall’s unbeaten 75 off 83 balls played a key role in taking New Zealand to 211/8. His knock helped the junior Blackcaps score 69 runs in the last 50 balls and cross the 200-run mark. Bangladesh lost two early wickets in the chase but Mahmudul Hasan Joy shared partnerships of 68 and 101 respectively with Towhid Hridoy (40) and Shahadat Hossain (40*). Mahmudul scored 100 off 127 before getting out but his knock was enough to seal a 6-wicket win for Bangladesh with 35 balls to spare.
