India beat Pakistan in the finals of the Asia Cup T20 for the blind

It was the match between the arch-rivals India and Pakistan in the finals of the First Asia Cup T20 for the Blind. In the end, it was India who came and won the match by 44 runs in the finals at Kochi on Sunday.

India and Pakistan had defeated Sri Lanka in their respective deciders.

Earlier, India put up 208 for 5 on the board in 20 overs. Pakistan was set a target to score 209. But in their allotted 20 overs Pakistan just managed to score 164. Pakistan who were unbeaten till the finals, lost out to India in the all important game.

The Asia Cup was conducted from 18th to 24th January. Pakistan first had announced that they wouldn’t be coming to India for the cup but they changed their decision and it turned out good for the team as they had played really well remaining unbeaten till the end of the final. The Asia Cup was played between Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal.

In the group stages, Pakistan had defeated India by 19 runs. Then the Pakistan captain Anees Javed had said, “We have finally qualified for the final of the first Asia Cup which is a great achievement for the entire team. This match was not a difficult one but I am glad that the whole team put their efforts together in this win.” Pakistan were first and India were second in the group stage standings. But it was India who had the last laugh.
