The India-Sri Lanka face off could be a proper mismatch given the recent form and performances of the teams and India whitewashing the Island side across all formats in the previous meeting on the Island. As Sri Lanka tour India for a Test series for the first time in eight years, they need to come in with the confidence and spirit with which they defeated the Pakistan team in the Test series in UAE which wasn’t possible for any team in the last decade.

A win in any of the three Tests will be equal to a series win for Sri Lanka given India are the current No.1 Team in this format and are yet to be defeated by Lankans at home. With the help of a whitewash in the recent series, India extended their domination over Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka as well as they won nine Tests and lost seven in the country.
