India vs Bangladesh: 7000 season tickets sold for the first Test

Team India is currently involved in a T20I series against Bangladesh. Just after this, they will play two Tests against the same opponent. The first Test will be played in Indore followed by the next one in Eden Gardens. And, there are reports as per MPCA, that a total of 40% season tickets have been sold out in the last four days ahead of the first Test.

There is a lot of excitement between the fans for the upcoming Test series against Tigers as it also holds a Day-Night Test which is scheduled to take place at Eden Gardens from November 22. And, the officials are excited about the upcoming banter between the two countries in the longer format.

Spectators are excited for the first Test between Indian and Bangladesh

On Wednesday, Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) chairman Abhilash Khandekar said that 7,000 tickets for the match starting on the 14th of November have already been bought by the spectators and there are only 9,000 passes left for the match. “Apart from season tickets, we are also considering selling the daily tickets of the Test matches,” MPCA President said as quoted by Hindustan Times.

He also recited that the stadium with a capacity of 27,000 people holds only 16,000 tickets for the spectators and rest tickets are reserved for sponsors, BCCI representatives, MPCA members, former players. “16,000 tickets of the Test match are available for sale. Remaining seats have been reserved for sponsors, BCCI representatives, MPCA members, former players, distinguished personalities, government officials etc,” he added.

The officials announced the commencement of ticket sales started at 6 AM on November 3 that will remain in continuity till November 10, provided if tickets are left available for the sale until then.

The season pass costs between Rs 315 and Rs 1,845 as per the galleries picked by the spectators. This is the second home series of Team India after the conclusion of World Cup 2019. The hosts are also leading the ICC Test Championship with 240 points followed by New Zealand and Sri Lanka on second and third positions.

But, Bangladesh is still due to feature in the long format after the Test Championship got underway. And, the players of both teams are expected to reach Indore on the 11th of November for the 1st Test which will be played at the Holkar Cricket Stadium.
