By sealing a commanding 40-run win over Delhi in their previous outing, which helped them win their 5th game out of the last 6, Mumbai are in typical mid-season form. Currently standing at the 2nd spot on the points table, Mumbai needs a couple more wins to seal their spot in the final four.

They will love to keep the momentum going when they travel to Jaipur to face Rajasthan on Saturday. While most people have made RCB’s run of defeats a major talking point, Rajasthan haven’t done much better – conceding 6 losses out of 8 games. Out of their 2 wins, however, one came against Mumbai at the Wankhede – something which they must take immense confidence from. They will have to win every game from here on if they want to make it to the Play-Offs.

Rajasthan’s problems remain in the batting department, especially in the middle overs. They look a far better team when Buttler makes runs but otherwise, there isn’t much to write home about. Their spinners have done a decent job and so has one Jofra Archer. These are the players to look out for when you sit down to pick your fantasy teams.

Moving towards the Mumbai camp, you are certainly spoilt for choices. Hardik Pandya has become an indispensable member of every fantasy team because of his blazing form. Overall, despite their loss at home against Rajasthan, Mumbai will start this game as overwhelming favourites.

Dotball Prediction:

Dotball team for Head to Head/Small Contests:

Wicket-keeper: Quinton de Kock

Batsmen: Rohit Sharma, Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav, Ajinkya Rahane

All-rounders: Hardik Pandya (C), Krunal Pandya

Bowlers: Dhawal Kulkarni, Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Gopal, Jofra Archer (VC)

Captain and Vice-Captain choices:

Captain: Pandya’s sheer consistency this season, especially with the willow, has been a delight to watch. The Indian allrounder has rarely failed to up the ante and has time and again helped Mumbai post a defendable total. His contribution with the ball is also handy for Rohit as he slips in a few overs under pressure and more often than not pick wickets as well.

Vice-Captain: Only a few bowl with better control around the world in T20 cricket than Jofra Archer. His performances in the IPL has presented him with a golden opportunity to be a part of the World Cup. With 10 wickets off 8 games at an economy rate of 6.77, Archer has been the go-to-man for Rahane and is very difficult to get away with at the death. His contest with Pandya will be a treat to watch.

Fantasy Tips

The contest between Gopal and Rohit will be keenly anticipated. Meanwhile, Krunal Pandya picked up pace with the bat just at the right time which helped Mumbai to eventually clinch an important game against Delhi. The allrounder started the season slowly but is taking massive strides towards his best form just at the right time for Mumbai.

Dotball Team for Large/Grand Contests:

Wicket-Keeper: Jos Buttler (C)

Batsmen: Suryakumar Yadav, Keiron Pollard (VC), Rahul Tripathi, Steve Smith

All-Rounders: Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Stuart Binny

Bowlers: Jason Benrendroff, Rahul Chahar, Ish Sodhi

Captain and Vice-Captain choices:

Captain: It was Buttler who stormed into the Mumbai attack and took the game away from them on route to a whirlwind 43-bal 89. Rajasthan has relied on Buttler a fair bit but the Englishman hasn’t disappointed. With 311 runs @ 38.87, Buttler is head and shoulders above the rest of the batsmen in his side.

Vice-Captain: Pollard has looked his old-self and has already played a couple of match-turning innings this year. Mumbai might just throw him up the order in this game since he hasn’t batted much in the last 3 games. The way he has tonked the ball this year, if he gets going then there is no ground in this world big enough for the West Indian.

Fantasy Tips

With a haul of 3 for 19 against Delhi, Chahar stalled Delhi’s chase by snapping wickets at crucial junctures. Tripathi celebrated his return to the top of the order with a fifty – his first of the season – and will look to build on it in this clash.

Dream 11 Prediction

Suggested Playing XI No. 1 for Head to Head/Small Leagues

Wicket-keeper – Quinton de Kock

Batsmen – Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Ajinkya Rahane, Jos Buttler (C)

All-Rounders – Hardik Pandya (VC), Krunal Pandya

Bowlers – Jasprit Bumrah, Rahul Chahar, Shreyas Gopal, Jofra Archer

Fantasy Tips

Bumrah has been by far the best pace bowler in the tournament. His economy rate of 6.54 is best among all fast bowlers which is outstanding considering he bowls at the death most of the time. He will eye another tidy spell which could derail Rajasthan’s charge in the last quarter of the innings.

Suggested Playing XI No.2 for Grand/ Mega Leagues:

Wicket-keeper – Sanju Samson (C)

Batsmen – Kieron Pollard, Suryakumar Yadav, Ajinkya Rahane, Jos Buttler (VC), Ashton Turner

All-Rounders – Ben Cutting, Krunal Pandya

Bowlers – Lasith Malinga, Dhawal Kulkarni, Jofra Archer

Fantasy Tips

Turner could well be the shining light which Rajasthan desperately needed in the middle overs. He is a fine player against spin and can tackle the likes of Chahar and Krunal. Suryakumar needs to do more and put an end to a very middling season so far.
