Indian team, the No.1 ranked Test team, the overwhelming favourites to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy was in for a shock in the first Test as Australia with their hard work and preparedness for the task beat them by a humongous 333 runs margin in the opening Test of the series. The Test match was over well within three days and so the team now had time in hand and they decided to spend some time off the game unwinding.

Being at the top of things with the best batsman and the best spinner in their ranks there is not a lot that the team needs to change and in such a situation it is best that they take their attention away from what happened on the field and rejuvenate for what lies ahead. The team went for a trek to Tamhini Ghat which is around 82 kms away from Pune where they played the match.

Skipper Virat Kohli posted a picture on his Twitter account and with the caption indicated that they want to get over what has happened and are looking forward to the rest of the series. He wrote- “Everyday is a blessing and an opportunity. Be grateful and keep moving ahead.”

One Indian player who had an outstanding Test match despite the result was pacer Umesh Yadav. He was the only bright spot as he dismissed 6 batsmen in the Test match on a wicket that turned square. Umesh also posted an image on his Instagram account with his better half and captioned it – “I sit back in this beautiful place and reflect on my life choice”.
