- Rohit first came into the news when he became the first Indian to score a T20 century. He scored an unbeaten 101 off 45 balls for Mumbai against Gujarat in 2006.
- Rohit Sharma might hail from Mumbai, Maharashtra, but his mother belongs to Vishakapatinam, Andhra Pradesh. Rohit Sharma can fluently converse in four languages- English, Hindi, Marathi and Telugu.
