After making his debut in the last year’s IPL, Ben Stokes is on a roll as he yet again bagged the highest bid from the IPL auction table for the consecutively second year with a hefty amount of 12.5 crores (INR). It was quite a treat to watch a bidding war for the English all-rounder who was given much importance despite of his recent detachment from the game ever since the late-night brawl in Bristol.

The all-rounder was welcomed by the Rajasthan Royals who themselves are returning to board after a suspension of two years from the IPL. Royals would certainly believe that they have got Stokes for two crores lesser than would be acquired in the last edition. It is a luxury to have someone like him in the side who can supply four overs with consistency and can slam the ball hard at the end. After knowing his new signing with the Royals, Stokes took it to the Twitter to share his excitement before the much anticipating tournament that begins this April.

He also mentioned about the frenzy to represent the Rajasthan based franchise alongside his English teammate Jos Butler, who was the Royals’ other major foreign signing for 4.4 crores ( INR) after Stokes. The English duo will form the core of the team alongside some modern greats with the likes of Steve Smith and Ajinkya Rahane given what the franchise goes ahead with other spots to fill in. “Buzzing to be representing @rajasthanroyals in this years IPl and great to be playing alongside @josbutler,” the southpaw mentioned
