IPL 2018: Kings XI Punjab unveil their new jersey

With the 11th season of the Indian Premier League fast approaching, the franchises are busy unveiling their new jerseys for the league. The Dehli Daredevils team has unveiled the jersey just a few days ago. And today, the Kings XI Punjab team has also unveiled its jersey for the upcoming league. The franchise has been tempting the fans over the last few days and they’ve finally launched their jersey today.

In a live Facebook session, the franchise flaunted its new jersey for IPL 2018. Moreover, the team captain Ravichandran Ashwin and head coach Virender Sehwag were present at the launch event. The jersey was unveiled at 3 PM today and sports the usual ‘Punjabi Red’ color. Also, there are no drastic changes in the jersey this year.

‘RED FOREVER’

The franchise has made slight modifications to the jersey this year. The front side of the jersey is completely red while there are a few silver lines down at the bottom on the back side. ‘Kent Mineral RO’ is the main sponsorer for the Kings XI Punjab this year and their logo is imprinted on the front side. Also, the collar design is slightly modified and it is made into a ‘V-Neck’ to make it look more stylish.

The Punjab team added that they are ‘Red Forever’. ‘The wait is over. Presenting our pride for this season of @IPL. We are #RedForever’, the tweet read. Furthermore, there is a lion symbol similar to the one on CSK’s logo imprinted on the jersey. The Punjab team calls themselves the ‘Red Army’ this year and they’ve also shared a picture of Ashwin and Sehwag together right after the launch of the new jersey.

The fans were highly impressed with the design of the jersey. The KXIP team will hope to put up a good show this year after some dismal performances in the last seasons. With the IPL just a few days away, the intensity and expectations of the league are raising up drastically.
