IPL 2018: MS Dhoni reunites with Srinivasan at the CSK training session

Of all the reunions in the Chennai Super Kings camp, the reunion between MS and Srini Mama has been the talk of the town over the last few days.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is fast approaching and all the teams have already begun their preparations. Of all the franchises, the Chennai Super Kings seems to be a step ahead. The team started its preparation with almost a full-fledged squad. Making a comeback after two years, the franchise seems to be excited about this season. They are also sharing the progress of their work regularly on the social media platforms.

Big guns like MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Harbhajan Singh and others have landed in Chennai. All the promotions, practice sessions, and strategies are in full swing. All the players who were earlier associated with the franchise are reuniting after a long time and the mood in Chennai seems to be blazing. However, of all the reunions, one has been the talk of the town over the last few days.

Srini Mama meets the team

The former BCCI President, N Srinivasan, fondly called ‘Srini Mama’ by the fans spent some time at the Chepauk Stadium recently. Srinivasan arrived at the stadium during one of the practice sessions and met all the players of the team. Furthermore, the once formidable on and off-the-field cricketer-administrator pair of MS Dhoni and N Srinivasan were seen having a keen interaction.

Till four years back, Dhoni who was the captain across all formats and Srinivasan who was the board president ruled Indian cricket.The fans reminisced the golden days back then seeing these two together. While Mahi was talking to his team’s boss, Ambati Rayudu and a few other players were seen greeting Srinivasan. CSK retained the core of its squad from 2015 for this years’ IPL.

Also, they have retained almost the same support staff and coaching staff who worked with them earlier. Michael Hussey and Lakshmipathy Balaji who played for the team earlier were appointed the batting and the bowling coaches respectively. Stephen Fleming will continue as the Head Coach of the team. CSK will play their first match against the Mumbai Indians on April 7.
