IPL 2018: Rajasthan Royals players take inspiration from twin sisters who scaled the world

Rajasthan Royals were jolted with a severe blow after their skipper Steve Smith was barred from playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Though they replaced him with Heinrich Klaasen from South Africa, it would be tough for them to play without him as he is a player of a different stature. Ajinkya Rahane has been appointed as the captain of the side for this season. However, the players now are doing everything possible to keep themselves inspired ahead of the tournament.

Royals are making their return to the fray of the T20 tournament this year after serving the suspension for two years. They have formed a decent squad and have also roped in the legendary Shane Warne as the mentor of the team. They will play their opening game of the season on April 9 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their own den.

What are they doing?

Rajasthan Royals players decided to meet the ‘Everest Twins’, Tashi Malik and Nungshi Malik, who climbed the Mount Everest at a very early age of 21. The squad had a great interaction with them as both had some inspirational words for the players. Speaking about their achievements Nungshi revealed how the twin sisters decided to go on a remarkable journey defying all the odds which were stacked against them.

“We told ourselves that if we do something, we will do something so big that it can inspire millions of girls to come out and follow their dreams,” she said according to T2 Online. Tashi also had a few inspirational words for Rajasthan Royals as she said, “Training the mind is definitely very hard, but that’s what you go to do in order to tell yourselves again and again that never give up.”

All the players clicked pictures with them as they looked relaxed and happy ahead of such a long tournament. It is important for them to stay fresh and upbeat to compete against some of the best players in the world.
