Midway through the league Rajasthan Royals (RR) changed their skipper from Ajinkya Rahane to Steve Smith in a bid to turn their fortunes around in this edition’s Indian Premier League (IPL). The tactics worked as the team managed to beat the Mumbai Indians (MI) by five wickets at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. However, the Royals still have plenty of work to do in order to progress to the playoffs.
Smith’s men are next scheduled to play the Delhi Capitals (DC) once again at home. The Capitals are high on confidence as well after their victory against the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at the Kotla. Another victory would strengthen their chances of finishing in the top two of the points table. As far as records ahead of the next match are concerned, the Royals have lost only one game against DC in Jaipur.
The 40th game of the IPL between RR and DC will be hosted by the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
The match starts at 08:00 PM local time (14:30 GMT).
The game will be live on Star Sports in India. (Live streaming on Hotstar).
The temperature will be a bit on the higher side with the same hovering between 31 degrees and 35 degrees Celsius. Since it is an evening game the dry heat of Rajasthan would not really cause any troubles. There won’t be much of intervention from dew in the game either.
