Indian cricket fans will surely remember Sam Curran- the kid who took the Test series away from their jaws. Curran displayed exemplary all-round skills and grabbed England’s player of the series award. While playing against India every player has an extra motive of meriting an IPL contract, Curran’s cameos with bat and temperament with the ball in hand earned him one.

Kings XI Punjab bought Sam for a heavy price of 7.2 crores in the auction last year. He scalped 10 wickets in 9 games including a hat-trick against Delhi Capitals. The left-hander is a dynamic lower batsman as he struck at 172 including a half-century for KXIP. The 21-year-old was recently selected for the T20I series in New Zealand where he picked 6 wickets at an economy of 8.5.

It came in as a bit of shock when Punjab released Sam Curran, maybe they would want him back at a lower price. But an open auction gives all other teams an opportunity to buy him as well. The all-rounder is in demand and is likely to be sold for big bucks once again at the upcoming auction.
