Two teams that are placed at No.3 and No.5 in the points table will do battle against each other in Match No. 25 of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Delhi Capitals have won 4 out of the 6 matches that they have played thus far, and are occupying 3rd place in the points table.

On the other hand, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) side is placed at 5th place in the table after mustering only 2 wins in 6 matches. And, both sides will enter the clash on 29th April 2021 after experiencing contrasting fortunes in their respective previous encounters.

The Kolkata Knight Riders arrested their 4-match losing streak by coasting to a 5-wicket victory over the Punjab Kings (PBKS) side. After restricting the KL Rahul led side to a total of just 123/9, the Eoin Morgan led side comfortably romped home with 3.2 overs to spare.

Even though the openers failed to provide a solid platform, Rahul Tripathi and Eoin Morgan stitched together a 66-run partnership to ensure that the Kolkata Knight Riders got back to winning ways.

On the other hand, the Delhi Capitals found themselves on the losing side of a roller coaster ride on 27th April 2021 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Chasing a target of 172, the Delhi Capitals ended their innings with a total of 170/4, losing the match by just a solitary run.

In spite of the loss, there are not too many headaches that the Rishabh Pant led side has to contend with. Their openers are in good form and their 24-year-old pacer Avesh Khan is the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament and has already scalped 12 wickets from 6 matches.
