The English all-rounder Benny Howell has been featuring in domestic cricket since 2010. His form with the Gloucestershire team helped him to get an IPL deal with PBKS this season. Howell scored 246 runs at a strike rate of 142.19 and provided late flourishes to his team in the Blast 2021. He was also the leading wicket-taker with 15 scalps at an economy of 8.10 in the tournament.

However, Howell could not feature for the Punjab Kings in IPL 2022. With the all-rounders like Liam Livingstone, Odean Smith, and Rishi Dhawan, the team did not try enough players and the 33-year-old was devoid of his chances.

In his first knock after the culmination of the IPL, he scored 46 off 20 and took a wicket as well against Middlesex in the ongoing Blast. The talented all-rounder would look to continue his fine performances to have a strong claim next year.
