The Rishabh Pant-led side is one of the most entertaining teams in the tournament and with so many superstars in the side, they can reach the playoffs if they continue to perform to their full potential.

Currently, it is difficult to restrict a side like Gujarat Titans to 143 runs in 20 overs and it is mainly because they have a solid line-up and excellent finishers. But, this week Punjab managed to restrict GT below 150 runs in their 20 overs.
As Sandeep Sharma was introduced into the side, he became an excellent bowling companion for Kagiso Rabada. Sharma was able to hold on to one end and gave away only 17 runs in his four overs. Rabada, on the other hand picked up four wickets.

The Kolkata Knight Riders had a perfect week as they managed to beat the Royals. While bowling first, they restricted them to a below-par score of 152/5 in 20 overs. This was never enough for the Royals as poor captaincy and batting cost them the match.
Umesh Yadav, Anukul Roy, Sunil Narine, and Shivam Mavi were the stars with the ball. Shreyas Iyer did a great job by rotating his bowlers during the innings. While chasing, KKR had a poor start as Indrajith and Finch departed early.
However, Nitish Rana and <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/hes-tell-me-calm-calm-and-finish-the-game-rinku-singhs-hilarious-interaction-with-shreyas-iyer-goes-viral/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rinku Singh’</a>s excellent partnership ensured that the Knight Riders won the match. With crucial games coming up, Rinku’s form could help the side and it will be interesting to see if he gets promoted up the order.

Finally, the most successful team has found its mojo. After a disastrous first half of the IPL, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-updated-points-table-orange-and-purple-cap-lists-after-gt-vs-mi/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MI</a> have slowly made a comeback in the tournament. But, it is already too late for them.
Against RR, Mumbai had a terrific outing with the ball as they managed to restrict a strong RR line-up for 158 runs. The five-time champions chased the target without breaking any sweat. With Suryakumar smashing a half-century, things started to fall in MI’s favour.
In the next game against Gujarat, MI went on to beat the best side in the tournament. Daniel Sams was able to pull off a spectacular final over against the likes of Miller, Rashid, and Tewatia. It will be interesting to see how they perform in the rest of the tournament as they will be playing for pride.

The <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/t20/ipl-indian-premier-league/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Indian Premier League </a>(IPL) 2022 is on a roll and has entered into the second phase. As the defending champions CSK have been knocked out of the tournament, it will be interesting to see their approach toward their remaining games.
With the new franchises playing some solid cricket till now, the expectations are quite high for them. If one of them manages to lift the trophy this time, it will be more like a cherry on the cake for their fans. All eyes will be on both the captains to showcase their skills on the big stage.
Talking about surprises, SRH, after winning multiple games on the trot, are now struggling with their performances. Captain Williamson’s struggle has been a problem for them. Sunrisers Hyderabad made a strong comeback into the tournament by winning consecutive games. Their bowlers were firing on all cylinders and it was a formidable pace attack. But, as they say, T20 is a format in which one has to adapt, and this time, except Bhuvneshwar Kumar, everyone has struggled to be economical.
Their superstar, Umran Malik has been in the news because of his pace but, his economy rate has been poor. Against CSK, the bowlers gave away 202 runs. Adding on, their batting failed against a weaker CSK bowling line-up as well.
Against Delhi, they struggled once again. As Warner and Powell were smashing the fast deliveries, the bowlers were not able to change the pace of their subsequent deliveries. The Orange Army needs to buckle up and get back to form to increase their chances to get into the playoffs.

<h3>9. Rajasthan Royals: 2/10 </h3>

Apart from Gujarat, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-match-52-predicted-rajasthan-royals-playing-xi-vs-punjab-kings/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rajasthan Royals</a> have been the best team in the tournament. They have dominated every sector of the game. But this week, they experienced a dip in form.
The Royals lost both their matches during the week. Against MI, they were unable to capitalize and put up a huge total. Jos Buttler’s 67 was not enough for the Royals. Adding on, Samson’s captaincy has been mediocre this week.
During the game against Kolkata, the Royals were struggling once again. Samson scored a 49-ball 54 and was not at his fluent best during the game. Even after Hetmyer’s swashbuckling innings, they failed to put up a big score. Thanks to Rinku Singh’s brisk innings, the Knight Riders were able to beat the Royals.

<h3>8. Gujarat Titans: 3/10</h3>

The table-toppers had a terrible week as they lost two games and won one game of the week. During their first game of the week, they went on to beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore. They faced the Punjab Kings during their second game of the week. While batting first, they posted 143/8 in their allotted 20 overs.
However, it was an easy task for Punjab as they easily chased down the total. With Dhawan, Rajapaksa, and Livingstone playing valuable knocks, this was more of an upset for the Titans. The standout player for them was Sai Sudharsan.
During the final game of the week, they faced the bottom-placed MI. As MI batted first, they posted 177/6 in their 20 overs. The best part about this was Rashid Khan’s return to form. However, they lost the game as <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/9-runs-off-6-balls-made-me-feel-i-have-nothing-to-lose-daniel-sams-after-delivering-match-winning-last-over/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daniel Sams</a> bowled a brilliant last over for MI.

<h3>7. Chennai Super Kings: 4.5/10 </h3>

The defending champions are out of the tournament. It seems like they took too long to find out the best combination from the current squad. However, they can work out the remaining games and bring out some wins. It will be interesting to see how captain Dhoni selects his team.
Ruturaj Gaikwad was the star during the match against SRH. He smashed Umran for fun and was the anchor of the innings as well. Adding on, his 99-run innings was full of orthodox shots. Alongside him, Devon Conway piled up 85 runs for CSK.
Against RCB, the bowling attack struggled at the death, and thanks to a poor middle-order batting, CSK’s chances to get into the playoffs were over. The main worry for the franchise will be <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/big-thing-for-ravindra-jadeja-to-admit-that-captaincy-is-out-of-his-league-graeme-swann/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jadeja’s </a>form and the absence of a prolific frontline bowler.

<h3>6. Royal Challengers Bangalore: 6.5/10</h3>

The <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-match-49-rcb-vs-csk-stats-review/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Royal Challengers Bangalore</a> have made a decent comeback this week. After a loss to Gujarat Titans, they managed to defeat CSK to kick them out of the tournament. As a team, they have been good, however, the only worry for them is Virat Kohli’s form.
Kohli managed to score a half-century against Gujarat, but his strike rate was too low. Even though RCB piled up 170 runs on the board, they lost the match as Gujarat’s batting was on song. Later on, on the 4th of May, they had a good start to the match as their top order had a 62-run opening stand.
Contributions from the middle order helped the team to post 173 runs on the board. Dhoni’s men were unable to chase a tricky target and Harshal Patel’s exceptional skills helped Faf’s men to get into the top four of the table. The Men in Red need to put up some solid performances in their upcoming matches to make it to the playoffs.

<h3>5. Lucknow Super Giants: 7/10 </h3>

The Lucknow Super Giants have been one of the few consistent teams in this edition of the IPL. Every single game, a new player steps up to rise to the occasion alongside <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/disciplined-lsg-complete-their-third-successive-victory-in-ipl-after-beating-dc/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">KL Rahul</a>. Talking about Rahul, he has been in exceptional form.
This week, the captain scored a quick 77 from 51 balls. His innings comprised four fours and five sixes altogether. Apart from that, he found a partner in the form of Deepak Hooda. The all-rounder scored 52 runs from 34 balls to help his team put up a big score on the board.
But, the star performer of the day was Mohsin Khan. In his four overs, he gave away 16 runs and picked up four wickets. In a game where every other bowler was going for over 10 runs per over, his economy rate was just 4.00.

<h3>4. Delhi Capitals: 8/10</h3>

Even though the Capitals won one game and lost one, they had put up a solid performance in these two games. The Rishabh Pant-led side is one of the most entertaining teams in the tournament and with so many superstars in the side, they can reach the playoffs if they continue to perform to their full potential.
While chasing LSG’s huge total, DC managed to score 189 runs in their 20 overs. In their last few games, they have found a solid batter in the form of Rovman Powell. Adding on, Axar’s 42 runs were a huge plus for the team as well in the same game.
Against SRH, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/david-warner-partied-more-than-believing-in-practice-we-sent-him-back-virender-sehwag-makes-massive-revelation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">David Warner</a> scored a quickfire 92* from 58 balls.
