India continued their series winning streak in the T20I format as they defeated the hosts by a huge 143-run margin in the 2nd game of the two-match T20I series. Despite resting the first preference players, India went on to register an even bigger win than they did in the first match. KL Rahul (70) and Suresh Raina’s (69) fifties took India towards a huge total before Hardik Pandya gave a perfect finish with a 9-ball 32. The wrist spinners once again ran through the home team’s batting line-up as Irish side could only post 70 before they were bowled out in the 13th over.

Stats and numbers recorded during yet another series win in the T20I format for India:

2 – Yuzvendra Chahal received the man of the series award for the 2nd time in his T20I career. He was the player of the series during India’s 2-1 win against England in 2017 at home. Chahal and Virat Kohli (5) are the only players to win more than one series award in the T20I format.

4 – This series win is the 4th consecutive bilateral series victory in the T20I format which is the joint 2nd longest series winning streak for any team. Pakistan is on a streak of eight consecutive bilateral T20I series wins.

6 – The duck in this game is Rohit Sharma’s 6th in the T20I format and also the 6th duck in 2018 in all T20 matches. His six ducks are the most by any player in 2018 T20 games surpassing Luke Ronchi’s five ducks.

11 – India now have scored 200+ total in the T20I format on 11 occasions. These are the joint-most number of 200+ T20I totals for any team as South Africa also scored 200+ on 11 instances. This is also the first time that India made 200+ totals in consecutive T20I matches.
