Ireland will be hosting India in the first T20I at the Malahide Cricket Club Ground in Dublin on June 26. The Indian team will be led by star all-rounder Hardik Pandya who captained the new entrants Gujarat Titans to an IPL triumph in their maiden appearance this season. Meanwhile, this will also be the Men in Blue’s first tour of Ireland in four years.

This will be an important series for Ireland as well as a massive challenge for them as they have only been challenged by associate nations in T20I cricket in the last few months, but a strong Indian team will be a different ball game even though they will be facing them in their own backyard.

India, on the other hand, showed great determination after being 0-2 down in the home T20I series against South Africa earlier this month and bounced back in style to ensure that the series ended at 2-2. The Men in Blue would now be hoping to register their first overseas T20I series victory under Rahul Dravid’s coaching.

The Dublin wicket is expected to assist the bowlers upfront and the batters need to be very cautious at the beginning. Batting might get a bit easier in the second innings and therefore, the captain winning the toss might want to bowl first.
