KL Rahul, Athiya Shetty make first public appearance at ‘Tadap’ premiere

Indian batter KL Rahul and actress Athiya Shetty are rumoured to be in a relationship for quite a while now, although nothing concrete about the same has come to the fore. The duo has been interacting with each other on social media platforms for quite some time. However, the duo has refrained from divulging sensitive information about their bonding and camaraderie.

Nevertheless, of late, Rahul and Athiya have made a public appearance in Mumbai, giving rise to further speculations on their relationship. The duo posed for the cameras at the premiere of ‘Tadap’, the debut movie of Ahan Shetty, the son of Suniel Shetty.

The movie ‘Tadap’ also stars Tara Sutaria and the trailers of the film have been doing the rounds for quite a while. During the photo session, Ahan was seen with his girlfriend Tania Shroff with whom he has been in a relationship for the last six years.

When Athiya’s family members gave poses together, Rahul was hesitant as to where to stand. Suniel Shetty then told him to be with her daughter and they posed for the cameras.

Back in June, it was reported that Rahul listed Athiya as his partner on the official document before going to play the World Test Championship final against New Zealand. However, Suniel Shetty said that Athiya had gone there with her brother.

“I think it is best you speak to them,” Shetty was quoted as saying in an interview with The Times of India. Shetty also dodged questions regarding Rahul’s relation with her daughter. “As far as the ad goes… I mean it is an international brand and they chose to take the two of them as the ambassadors. I think they look brilliant together.

“They are a good-looking couple, na? So, it totally works from a brand perspective. And I must say, they look good together, well, in the ad (laughs!),” he said.

“Yes, she is in England, but she is with Ahan. The brother-sister duo has gone there for a holiday. Rest you may check with them,” the veteran actor added.
