KL Rahul, the Indian cricketer has emerged as one of the brightest prospects for the Men in Blue in the last couple of years. He has reaped out a lot of success on the back of his brilliant batting skills. He also received lots of praise from the former cricketing greats for doing well in international cricket.
On Thursday, Rohit Sharma, the current Indian opener and Harbhajan Singh also praised KL Rahul’s batting style during their live session on Instagram. The 28-year-old was in scintillating form with the bat before the pandemic. He did exceedingly well on a difficult tour to New Zealand. Rahul scored 224 runs with the help of two in the five-match T20I series. The right-handed batsman managed to replicate his form in the ODI series and scored 206 runs in three games with the help of one ton and fifty each.
Rohit Sharma and Harbhajan Singh praise KL Rahul’s batting style
During the Instagram live session with Harbhajan Singh, the Indian hitman said that Rahul’s style of batting is quite pleasing to the eyes. It is always great to watch him bat from the dressing room as well as from the non-striker’s end, “His shot-making is very pleasing to the eye,” Rohit Sharma told Harbhajan Singh during live Instagram session.
Tubanator recited that after Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul is one of the biggest match-winners for team India at the moment, who can single-handedly win games for his side. Bhajji added the fact that the Karnataka-born player is quite flexible as he’s able to bat at four, five and six. Even, he can open the innings for the team when required which is an added advantage for the Men in Blue.
“Apart from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, KL Rahul is the biggest contender in the squad as a match-winner… He is a batsman who can bat at four, five and six and also open the innings. Like to watch KL Rahul bat when he is in full flow,” Harbhajan Singh added.
Rahul was all set to play for KXIP in IPL 2020 but BCCI postponed the league due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
