IPL 2016 Opening ceremony Live social feeds

The Indian Premier League (IPL) season 9 is here and the league will kick start with the grand opening ceremony. The event will be starred not just by Indian performers but some of the best foreign stars. At the event some of the biggest names from Bollywood will be on the stage and so will be American singer Chris Brown and electronic music group Major Lazer. The list of Indian artistes includes rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Chris Brown was delighted with the opportunity to perform at the IPL 2016 opening ceremony. The official statement by Brown’s team read: “We are very excited to perform in India for the very first time… Looking forward to a crazy night of mayhem and meeting all my beautiful people in India.”

Major Lazer took to Twitter to confirm their participation for the opening ceremony. Their tweet read: “Major Lazer Returns For 1 Night Only At The @Ipl Opening Ceremony!!”

Following the success of his latest song ‘Champion Champion’ West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo will also be performing his song at the event.

All the 8 teams and skippers will also be present at the mega event in Mumbai.
