Pakistan A Women will be up against West Indies A Women in the 3rd match of the West Indies A Women's tour of Pakistan at the Lahore Country Club in Muridke on October 29. The three-match series is poised very well between the two teams with each team winning a match. This match is going to be the series decider.
Both these teams squared off against each other in the last match which was the second match of this series at the same venue where West Indies A Women won the toss and elected to field. Pakistan had a very slow start but they started off well with the opening stand lasting for 62 runs. However, the fall of the first wicket, started a domino effect for them as they lost five wickets in scoring the next 31 runs. Sidra Nawaz played a good knock down the order due to which they could reach a total of 188 runs.
West Indies A Women did not have too great of a start chasing the total. Opener Shunelle Sawh was gone early but Rashada Williams who came to bat at three, played a fine captain’s knock where she smashed 71 runs. The middle order, however, could not contribute much as the batters came and left one after the other but the lower order took responsibility after not many runs were left to chase down but wickets were tumbling. West Indies A Women were finally able to secure the win on the penultimate ball of the match as they won the game by three wickets.
