This CrickingDuels Fantasy guide is for the match 38 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season which will be played between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). The hosts looked lacklustre in the game against Mumbai and have come to the terms with the conditions soon now to get back to the winning ways. Royals too have been losing matches and are coming off a heartbreak in their last encounter in which they fell agonisingly short by 4 runs only.

Holkar Stadium is known to be full of runs but was on the slower side last night. Though close to 340 runs were scored in less than 40 overs and a similar kind of track is expected for this game as well. The big hitters of both the teams would be licking their lips as the visitors will have to take care of the Gayle Storm which can arrive at any moment in the match. Here we bring to you the CrickingDuels Fantasy guide for the game:

Kings XI Punjab vs Rajasthan Royals

Batsmen

Not having Chris Gayle in the team will be a huge mistake as he can blaze away at any stage of the game. Karun Nair has impressed me a lot this year and he is a better prospect on any day than Mayank Agarwal who was demoted in the last match. Sanju Samson is a classy player and has gone quiet for a long time now. He is likely to make use of the small dimensions of the Stadium and play a game-changing innings for his team. Ajinkya Rahane opens the innings and he will be the last batsman in my team as he will surely give around 20-30 points to you in the powerplay.

All-Rounders

Ben Stokes hasn’t come good at all this year and I am going to take a risk by selecting him in my team. He is a champion player and these cricketers deliver whenever the team needs them the most. Royals need his heroics now and he is likely to step up to the challenge at the Holkar Stadium. Krishnappa Gowtham is another youngster who has been going well this year and bowls cleverly. He is available for fewer credits and is a profitable pick in the team.

Wicketkeeper

Now here comes the biggest confusion for this game. KL Rahul and Jos Buttler both will open the innings for their respective teams and a tough decision has to be taken here. I will go with Rahul simply because he is due a big knock now and has made him the vice-captain of my team as well. Many of the users will tend to go towards Buttler following his blistering knock in the last game. Even I am taking a risk and is more likely to pay off for me with Rahul playing well to both spinners and pacers.

Bowlers

Once again like a norm, I have gone with a couple of bowlers from each team. Andrew Tye gives me more points courtesy bowling in the death overs.  Mujeeb Zadran is mystery bowler and in a high-scoring encounter, this kind of bowlers tend to pick wickets as they have variations to bluff the batsmen. Jofra Archer has been a sensation so far in the IPL and no wonder he could be missed. Finally, I have picked Jaydev Unadkat only for the reason that he is slowly coming back to his best an on his day can bag 3-4 wickets.
