Australia’s star all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is one of the most fearless cricketers in the world. The right-hander’s ability to destroy any bowling unit on his day is remarkable. He is an extremely useful medium pacer as well as his ability to take off the pace of the delivery is a very handy weapon in his armory.

There was a news going around about the player being offered a luring deal by Brisbane Heat for the 8th edition of Cricket Australia’s T20 league Big Bash. As per reports, apart from a hefty amount, Stoinis was also offered a regular number 3 position to bat for the Heats that has stars like Chris Lynn and Brendon McCullum.

Offer to Stoinis no longer available: Heat manager

However, according to a report in cricket.com.au, the offer of Heat is no longer on the table for Stoinis. Heat General Manager, Andrew McShea while speaking to cricket.com.au said that they did approach the all-rounder with an offer but according to McShea, the offer is no longer available.

“We touched base with Marcus and put together what we felt was an attractive offer, However, that offer is no longer on the table,” McShea told the website.

Stoinis has been part of the Melbourne Stars side since the third edition of the Big Bash League who now will try to seize the opportunity to come up with an offer once the 28-year-old returns from New Zealand where he is set to play the tri-series final against New Zealand.

Stars were at the bottom of the table in the recently concluded season of the BBL. Their few star players over the years in Kevin Pietersen, Luke Wright, and Rob Quiney have retired from the game which has left the franchise a very inexperienced side.

Now with opportunity, the Stars will try and do all they can retain the right-handed Stoinis on their side.
