Australian captain Michael Clarke one of the closest to Philip Hughes read out a written statement to the media. Clarke was addressing the press and delivered a very emotional speech on the unfortunate death of fellow teammate Phil Hughes after he was hit on hit neck by a bouncer during a domestic match.

Clarke addressing the press conference over the last innings of the cricketer on behalf of the entire Australian team.
The captain could not control his emotions several times while talking about Hughes and also said that the Australian dressing room will never be the same in Phil Hughes absence.

Clarke tried his best but the gravity of the situation made him choke into tears every time he spoke, he said
“Words cannot express what we all feel as a team right now,”
“Apart from when he was home on the farm with his beloved cattle, Hughesy was at his happiest playing cricket for his country with his mates,” the Australia skipper said.

The teams are still under shock and the trauma the players are through might also result in the first test between Australia and India scheduled for the 4th December might either be postponed or called off. The Indian cricket board has left the decision on their Australian counterparts to take the call. While being ready to accept their word.

A lot would depend on how players cope up from the tragedy and recover themselves up for cricket again. The senior members of the Australia team are believed to be against playing the first test match at the GABA.
