It was a wonderful gesture from the rampant speedster which certainly made the day of the kid. iT was a blue sleeveless Essex jersey of his that Amir presented with the number 5 written on its back.

Zaidi who is also a Pakistani took to social media platform Twitter to thank the bowler. He admired the generous act from his fellow countryman for the gift to his little son. He also added photos of his son wearing the jersey and flaunting the precious item. The pictures also had one of Mohammad Amir in the Essex kit.

Mohammad Amir signed for Essex ahead of the NatWest T20 blast and has taken the tournament by storm. The bowler is currently the second highest wicket taker for his club in this edition of the tournament. In the 13 matches Amir has played for Essex in the NatWest T20 blast, he has picked up 14 wickets to his name which is only second to Paul Walter of England who has taken 15. However, Mohammad Amir has an economy rate of 6.77 in the tournament which is the best among the bowlers in his team.

Mohammad Amir was the hero for Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy held in England earlier this year. Amir wrecked havoc in the final match of the tournament when Pakistan face arch rival India. Pakistan registered a huge total of 338 runs riding on a brilliant century from opener Fakhar Zaman. Coming on to chase the target, the Indians had no answer to Mohammad Amir brilliance with the ball. He rattled the Indian batting order with ease and also removed skipper Virat Kohli whom he admires a lot. Pakistan won the ICC Champions Trophy for the first time in their cricket history.
