Cape Town Blitz have had an outstanding time thus far in the inaugural edition of the Mzansi Super League (MSL). The franchise has won all their three matches and are sitting pretty at the top of the league table with 13 points. Their next encounter is against Jozi Stars at New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg and they would be looking to carry on with their winning streak.
The Stars, led by Dane Vilas, on the contrary, are placed in the second position with five points. They lost their first match against Nelson Mandela Bay Giants but made amends with a 60-runs victory against Paarl Rocks. Having won the last encounter, the Stars have momentum on their side, but beating the Blitz isn’t expected to be a cakewalk for them by any stretch of the imagination.
Pitch Conditions
There has only been one match at the venue and it wasn’t a high scoring one by any means. The bowlers dominated to a large extent as the batsmen had to work hard for their runs. In the event, most of the matches have been won by the team, batting first and hence, it won’t spring a surprise if the teams opt to bat first after winning the toss.

Petrus van Biljon and skipper Dane Vilas are slotted to bat at number four and five respectively with Nono Pongolo to bat next.
