Najam Sethi, the Cheif of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has gone on to state that he has received the green signal to take legal action against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). This follows the decision taken by the BCCI not to play a bilateral series against Pakistan.

A series between India and Pakistan had been scheduled to be played in the United Arab Emirates in the summer of 2018, but this is seemingly not going to go through following the political tensions between these two nations.

While the legal action is certainly expected to be taken, Sethi went on to add a couple of words on both Shahid Afridi and Misbah-ul-Haq. A report from Pakistan-based publication Dunya News went on to report that Sethi would offer Misbah a position on the board.

He went on to add that he had plans for Shahid Afridi in the future and that the former Pakistan skipper ought to come down and have tea with him in the near future.

PSL Final in Lahore in doubt of being organized

The Pakistan Super League was in danger of not being hosted in the Lahore yet again due to security reasons. A report released by the FICA claimed that the acceptable level of security could not be guaranteed. Moreover, it also went on to show that attacks were indeed happening on a regular basis as well.

The report cautions foreign players that “an acceptable level of participant security and safety cannot be expected or guaranteed” for Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 final in Lahore.

“Pakistan continues to experience significant terrorist attacks across the country and Westerners have in the past been directly targeted and killed in Pakistan. Indiscriminate and targeted attacks are likely to continue, and expert advice is consistent with all Government Agencies and Diplomatic Missions, who generally advise reconsidering the need to travel.”
