The Pakistan cricket team will be up against the England team for a three-match T20 series which is all set to kick-start from August 28 at Old Trafford. All the three T20 Internationals will be played in a biosecure bubble at Old Trafford on August 28, August 30 and September 1.

After losing the three-match Test series against the hosts, the Men in Green would be looking forward to equal scores by winning the T20I series. Pakistan had dominated the large part of the first Test match played from August 5 to August 9 at Manchester. However, they couldn’t capitalize on their 107-run lead after the first innings. Owing to the brilliant knock of 84* and 75 runs by Chris Woakes and Jos Buttler, the hosts could taste the victory against the visitors by three wickets.

The second game was majorly washed away by the rain and it resulted in a draw. However, the Asian team had an opportunity to make a comeback in the series by winning the final Test match, but they were brutally thrashed by the paceman James Anderson, who achieved the feat of 600 wickets in the longest format of the game, as he took a five-wicket haul, and he returned in their second innings to pick Abid Ali and Azhar after the visitors were made to follow on. The third and final match of the Test series was also declared as drawn due to the persistent showers on the final day of the game.

Pakistan’s new kit for the upcoming T20 series

Ahead of the T20I series, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled the new cricket jersey to be donned by the team. The limited-overs captain Babar Azam was seen sporting the new kit as he posed with the series Trophy. In comparison to the previous outfit, the new jersey has a different colour combination. It contains the parrot green colour in the middle of the t-shirt while the sleeves and trousers are of dark green colour.

Also, the jersey has a logo of Pakistan Cricket Board in the middle in addition to the logo of the main sponsors; Pepsi and EasyPaisa. Pepsi has been essaying the role of principal sponsor of the Pakistan cricket team for almost two decades while EasyPaisa, a digital financial services company based in Pakistan, was brought on the table as the associate sponsors for the England series.
