Holi, the festival of colours, is being celebrated all over the country in India and other parts of the World on Friday. It signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive. Even a lot of Indian cricketers are busy celebrating the festival as they have wished their fans all over the country. However, they’ve also urged them to be safe while playing with the colours and take care of the environment as well.

The foreign cricketers, especially, like this festival as they love the excitement among the Indian people who celebrate almost every occasion in an enthusiastic way. Last year, Brett Lee and Matthew Hayden also enjoyed themselves playing Holi with their fellow co-workers during their time in India. Australia had travelled India to play four-match Test series during the period and the legendary cricketers were part of the commentary panel of Star Sports.

Play Safe and colourful Holi

Virender Sehwag, the former Indian cricketer, never ceases to amaze his fans with his witty tweets on the microblogging website. Even this time around he has come up with a witty but meaningful message for his fans advising them to beware of the people who change their colours and not of the actual colours. His tweet read, “Rangon se mat darna, Rang badalne waaon se darna. Don’t be afraid of colours, beware of people changing colours. Wish you a Holi filled with love and harmony #Holi2018.”

While the other cricketers like Umesh Yadav, former Sri Lankan player Russel Arnold, Aakash Chopra among many others wished their fans a very happy Holi, it was Mithali Raj who also came up a decent message and a good advice for her fans. The captain of Indian Women’s ODI team urged everyone to play Holi with full of excitement but requested them to keep the dogs away from it.

Here are the wishes of the cricketers:
