The “Hitman” is certainly one of the best batsmen in world cricket currently. Rohit Sharma played some breath-taking knocks for Mumbai in the domestic circuit which prompted the selectors to pick him for the title-winning World T20 squad of 2007. He played some essential knocks in quick time including an unbeaten 30* off 16 balls in the final against Pakistan which helped India get to a par total.

Rohit Sharma also made his ODI debut that year and was in the team for a certain amount of time. However, he lost form thereafter and due to many legends already in the team, he did not find a place in the 2011 World Cup squad. However, Rohit roared back in 2013 and a new chapter started in his cricketing journey as he was promoted to open the innings. Since then, Rohit has not looked back and is unarguably the best LOI opener, scoring 27 hundreds and also 3 double centuries in ODIs.

Rohit is also one of the best in the shortest format, scoring 4 tons, and is the 2nd highest run-scorer in T20 International cricket. In 2019, he was tried as a test opener, to which he responded in style. He scored twin hundreds in his first Test as an opener and since then is India’s first-choice Test opener. Rohit is already close to legend status and can shatter many more records in the coming time.
