Virat Kohli of RCB might not be on the same level as Virat Kohli of India, but that certainly doesn’t and shouldn’t stop fans from hailing him as one of the best players in IPL history. He is the highest IPL run-scorer of all time and his consistency is up there with the very best. The Indian captain has evolved quite a lot to succeed in the shortest format as well.

He has scored 5878 runs in 192 games at a strike rate of 130.73 and averages 38.16. Kohli arguably had the greatest individual season of all time in 2016, when he scored a stunning 973 runs in 16 games at a strike rate of over 150. He even scored 4 centuries and 7 fifties that season, and it was no surprise that he won the Most Valuable Player Award that season.

He has won 13 MOM’s and has the 2nd most 50+ scores. The RCB skipper might not have won the IPL, but that is most definitely not his fault and it is rather due to their weak bowling attack and poor auctionS, and hence not having an IPL trophy shouldn’t discount him from being a great matchwinner.
