Team India opener Rohit Sharma got back to his fitness training after a big injury lay off. The Mumbai batsman was last seen in Indian colors during the last ODI of the New Zealand series last year. He had apparently sustained a thigh injury during the match. Later, he had to move to London to get a surgery done. Since then, he missed the entire England tour to India. Currently, he is not a part of the Indian side that is gearing up for the one-off Test against Bangladesh.

Recently in an interview, the hard-hitting batsman had disclosed that he has his eyes set for a national comeback during the home series against Australia this month. Much to the delight of the Indian fans, Rohit Sharma is fit again and all set to take the field now. He posted pictures on the social media of his training recently. He even added a caption that would come as a much needed relief for the Indian team management. In the tweet, Sharma wrote, “I feel complete again”.

In a conversation with India Today, he quoted that he has his eyes set for a comeback soon. With the Indian team struggling to find a consistent opener, Rohit’s arrival might well serve as a boon for the team. He rightly pointed that the injuries are bound to come by but now he has recovered well enough.

“I am really trying my best to get back on the cricket pitch as soon as possible. I can’t give an exact date but I will try to play the series against Australia. I have been in a very positive frame of mind during this phase though. Injuries are part and parcel of the game, you can’t avoid them for long. Also, this wasn’t the first time that I was facing such challenging times,” quoted Rohit Sharma.
