Shane Warne, the former Australian spin-bowler has been controversies’ own son since his playing days and even after a decade following his retirement, they haven’t died down. He was undoubtedly one of the greatest spinners to have plied their trade in the sport, but the unwanted incidents have somewhat marred his reputation to some extent if not a whole lot.

Back in 1994, when he wasn’t yet a regular member of the Australian team, he was accused of making arrangements with an Indian bookie during a tour of Sri Lanka along with another retired cricketer Mark Waugh. He couldn’t represent the national team in their victorious campaign of the 2003 World Cup for the reason that he was tested positive for a banned substance.

Yet another controversy

In 2000, reports of Warne nagging a British nurse sparked. He was thereafter stripped of Australia’s vice-captaincy. Later, the former cricketer also asked a British woman by name of Laura Sayers to join him in a sexual activity. His relationship with Liz Hurley couldn’t sustain owing to his relationship with a porn star. Last year, he was also alleged of assaulting porn star Valeria Fox in London.

Recently, the 49-year-old was caught sending flirtatious messages to a 24-year-old woman on Tinder when he was in England and the conversations took place between June and August this year. The DM’s were sent when the woman who had matched decided to end contact. In a chat with Daily Mail Australia on Friday, the girl said:  “It sounds like he does this regularly.”

Both matched on June 6 and as per the messages, the conversations didn’t go far and after a period of two months, the sportsman tried to reconnect. The woman also mentioned that the messages somewhat surprised her because her profile was ‘very demure’ and she was looking for a long-term relationship.
