'Disrespectful' - Harsha Bhogle reacts as crowd chants 'Kohli, Kohli' during Cheteshwar Pujara's DRS call

During the Ahmedabad Test on Day 3, India resumed their innings in a vigilant mode. Though, they started well but soon after Rohit Sharma got dismissed. Thereafter, India's mainstay, Cheteshwar Pujara, along with Shubman Gill steadied the ship by holding one end while Gill went on to score a brilliant century against the Aussies. The Pujara-Gill duo stitched a crucial partnership of 113 runs to put India in a strong position at Tea on Day 3.

However, during the Pujara dismissal something bizarre happened which did not go down well with the legendary commentator Harsha Bhogle. Bhogle, who was on air, remarked it to be 'disrespectful'. It was during the DRS process that the crowd seemed to have wanted Virat Kohli to come out to bat rather than hoping for Pujara to carry on the innings with DRS going into his favor.

Team India's march during their batting innings came to an abrupt halt after Todd Murphy dismissed batting bulwark Cheteshwar Pujara on the stroke of Tea on the third day of the final Test match of the series. Pujara, who was looking solid as ever at the crease, fell to the Australian youngster soon after Shubman Gill reached his first Test century in India.

The day started with the Indian openers taking a liking to Mitchell Starc, who was taken for plenty of boundaries in the morning session. However, the Australian bowlers managed to stifle the run flow after Rohit Sharma's dismissal. Although Pujara and Gill were largely untroubled at the crease, Steve Smith's field placements, coupled with the discipline of the Australian bowlers, never let the pair score freely.

Todd Murphy proves to be a workhorse for Australia as he gets an important breakthrough

Pujara, who congratulated his young batting partner after he brought up his first Test century on Indian soil after dispatching Todd Murphy for a boundary, succumbed to the Australian spinner on the last delivery of the same over. The Indian batting ace missed a straight delivery from the off-spinner to hand Australia a crucial breakthrough in the match, breaking the 113-run stand for the second wicket.

During his 42-run innings, the Indian bulwark reached a special milestone, becoming the sixth batter to cross 2000 runs in BGT. He is the only active Indian cricketer to have breached the 2000-run mark in the illustrious series. He joins the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid and Michael Clarke in a prestigious list of batters to have achieved this feat.
