Mohammed Siraj was livid with Yashasvi Jaiswal after the latter dropped Ben Duckett on the fifth delivery of the 39th over in the fourth innings of the first Test of the ongoing series between England and India. This was when Duckett was on 97. With this, Jaiswal registered an unwanted record of dropping the joint-most number of catches by an Indian in Tests in records available.
It was a well-directed short ball by Siraj at the left-handed batter. Duckett was not in control of the pull shot and ended up getting a fat top edge. Jaiswal was slightly slow to get off the blocks from the deep backwards square-leg and ended up spilling the catch despite diving forward with both hands. Siraj made his frustration known. Sitting pensively in the dugout, Gautam Gambhir had a stoic expression on his face.

Duckett made the opportunity count and got to his ton in the very next over. He nailed a reverse-sweep off Ravindra Jadeja's bowling. The ball raced across to the boundary. Duckett showcased how jubilant of a moment it was for him by punching the air and taking off his helmet to soak in the applause from the crowd at Headingley.
Duckett's exemplary knock was also the first century by an English opening batter in the fourth innings of a Test since Alastair Cook's unbeaten 109 against Bangladesh in 2010. The aforementioned boundary was his 14th of the innings. By that point, he had scored 102 out of the 176 scored by England. India seemed quite helpless as to the plans they should execute against the opening pair.

Siraj gives Duckett, Crawley a mouthful for wasting time
Five balls into the 41st over of the innings, the umpires had had enough because of the heavy drizzle and opted to suspend play. The players made their way out of the field. However, it was just a 12-minute interruption. At the end of 41 overs, England were 181/0 with Duckett going strong in the middle while being partnered by Zak Crawley.
