Team India dominated the entirety of the first Test in Nagpur against Australia. Thanks to excellent performances from skipper Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Axar Patel, India were able to win the first Test match by an innings and 132 runs.
Ravindra Jadeja picked up five wickets in the first innings, whereas Ashwin completed his fifer in the second innings. Speaking about the same in an interview with Star Sports, skipper Rohit Sharma opined that every player seems to be reaching a milestone.
"Everyone is close to a milestone; every day someone reaches a milestone. Someone is taking five wickets, completing 250 wickets, 450 wickets; it seems like everyone is approaching a milestone every other day. The players come and ask me to give them the ball to bowl as they are approaching 250 wickets or 450 wickets, reaching close to a fifer."
"Even in ODIs, Siraj bowled 10 overs because he needed to complete his fifer. Siraj had bowled 10 overs when we were just at 22 overs in the game against Sri Lanka recently; he won’t stop," Sharma added in a hilarious manner.

Team India take the lead in the Test series
Team India has taken the lead in this year's Border Gavaskar Trophy after an impressive performance in the Nagpur Test. Ravindra Jadeja was named Player of the Match for sensational displays with both the ball and the bat. The 34-year-old completed his fifer in the first innings and then played an impressive knock of 70 off 185 balls.
The one positive for Australia after the first Test would be the performance of 22-year-old Todd Murphy, who made his debut. Murphy was excellent with the ball, as he picked up seven wickets and took out the majority of the Indian batting attack. Skipper Pat Cummins will have much to reflect on and will want to make sure that the Aussies’ nightmare in the first Test is not repeated. Both teams next face each other in the second Test on February 17 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
