IPL 2023: Gujarat Titans all-rounder Rashid Khan plays gully cricket with fans in Gandhinagar

Everyone wants to see their favorite cricketers play live, especially in a country like India, where people are obsessed with the game of cricket. A particular instance occurred as Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan was seen playing with some of the cricket fans in India.

Rashid Khan was spotted playing gully cricket on the streets of Gandhinagar in Gujarat alongside people from the area. The star all-rounder is currently playing for the defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).

The 24-year-old cricketer was seen indulging with the fans as a video of the same went viral on social media, and the enthusiastic fans were seen cheering for him and taking video of him playing.

Rashid Khan picks first hat-trick in IPL 2023

Rashid has been instrumental for the Hardik Pandya-led side so far this season. The 24-year-old has managed to scalp 15 wickets for GT from nine matches. During GT's match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 9, Rashid took the first hat-trick in the IPL 2023.

He dismissed all-rounders Andre Russel, Sunil Narine, and Shardul Thakur in three consecutive deliveries during KKR's innings. Notably, it was the 22nd hat trick taken in the history of IPL and Rashid became the 19th bowler overall to achieve the feat.

With 12 points, the Titans currently sit at top of the IPL 2023 points table. They have won six of their nine matches so far this season. In their previous contest, they suffered a five-run defeat against the Delhi Capitals (DC), who are at the bottom of the points table. 

GT will next take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on May 5 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. GT lost by three wickets in the previous fixture between the two teams. With 10 points, RR currently take the fourth place in the IPL 2023 points table.
