In the video, Rahane expressed pride in being able to contribute. He promoted the message of the initiative, reducing the consumption of edible oil. The former Indian skipper shared his perspective as an athlete regarding his diet.
"I’m proud to join hands with the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, for a special awareness campaign under the National Mission on Edible Oils (NMEO). The message is simple but powerful: let’s try to reduce our edible oil consumption by just 10%. Not just for ourselves, but for our families and the country," Rahane said in the video.
He felt that small changes in one’s diet could bring about significant results. The star batter stated that the campaign serves as a reminder that good practices begin at home. The KKR player believed that small steps taken now could lead to a substantial impact in the future.
"As an athlete, I’ve always been mindful of what I eat, and over the years, I’ve come to realise that small changes in our daily habits can make a big difference. This campaign is a reminder that good health starts at home, and even a small change like being mindful of the oil we use can lead to a big impact," the Indian cricketer wrote on his official 'X' handle.
