Pakistan suffered a heart-breaking five-wicket defeat against England in the T20 World Cup 2022 final at Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday. Pakistan managed to score only 137/8 while batting first after sensational three for 12 spell from English pacer Sam Curran. Pakistani pacers also kept their team alive in the chase but Ben Stokes' 52* knock was enough for England to chase the target with six balls remaining.

This is another heart-breaking blow for the Pakistani fans, who witnessed their team losing in the final of the 2022 Asia Cup as well. The former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar posted a heart-break emoticon on his Twitter handle after the match to express his feelings.

Indian fans were quick to reply with mixed feelings to the former Pakistani pacer's Tweet. Many celebrated England's title win due to Indian team's cricket rivalry with Pakistani cricket team. Indian seamer Mohammed Shami also reacted to Shoaib’s Tweet with a cheeky dig. Shami wrote, “Sorry brother, it’s call Karma.”

India suffered a heavy 10-wicket loss against England in the second semi-final on November 10 and missed out on facing Pakistan in the final of the tournament. After India's shocking defeat, Shoaib Akhtar termed India's loss came due to an embarrassing bowling performance and also stated that Indian team doesn't deserve to reach the finals.

The Indian team were always favorites to win the mega tournament and dominated the Super 12 group-stage round with eight points from five games. But Indian bowlers failed to defend the 168-run total against England in the semi-final clash as they lost the game by ten wickets and with four overs remaining.

Mohammed Shami conceded 39 runs from his three-over spell against England and managed to take only six wickets from six innings in the tournament. His poor performances have drawn a lot of criticism from the Indian fans who are demanding big changes to the T20I squad.
