As Sri Lanka take on New Zealand in the first Test of the two-match series, the crowd was once again involved in the game as one of the spectators took a fabulous catch when the ball was hit for a six. As Neil Wagner smacked the ball for a six, the fan made quite a lot of ground and took a sensational one-handed catch. This clearly depicts the love for the game the Kiwis have for cricket.

Pressure keeps mounting on Sri Lanka after a comeback by the Kiwis

After getting off to a sensational start to the first Test against New Zealand, Sri Lanka’s plans seemed to be hindering as the second innings approached. The visitors managed to score 355 runs in the first innings thanks to sensational knocks by Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Mendis, Angelo Matthews, and Dhananjaya de Silva.

Sri Lanka impressed with the ball as well. They managed to further mount the pressure on New Zealand after dismissing key batters like Kane Williamson and Devon Conway early. However, the Black Caps quickly made a comeback as Daryl Mitchell scored a century and Tom Latham scored 67 runs as well.

Following the comeback, New Zealand maintained a slender lead, and they got off to a great start as well, as both openers of Sri Lanka were dismissed early. Kusal Mendis and Angelo Matthews will now look to maintain the lead that they have taken and build the innings on it.
