Preview for Dream11 Fantasy

The World Champions England can not win this ODI series against South Africa now. The hosts won the first game quite comfortably, and we couldn’t get any result in the second match due to rain. With Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler being rested, England are trying out new players. In the absence of Jofra Archer and Mark Wood, England are testing the other pacers. However, the likes of Chris Jordan, Sam Curran and Tom Curran haven’t done significant amount of damage, albeit they have got just one full game. The trio would like to stamp their authority in the third ODI. Tom Banton who is playing probably as a finisher would also try to make full use of the opportunity.

South Africa were not having a great run in international cricket; however, this series would have provided some relief to them. Temba Bavuma who delivered the goods in Cape Town will be on high confidence and try to cement his spot in the ODI team. In the second ODI, the South African management rested Lungi Ngidi who is returning from an injury. The right-arm fast-bowler is expected to be back for this match. The Proteas bowled well as a unit in Cape Town and would try to carry on that against fearsome batting line-up of England.

Weather Condition/Report

The weather reports are not good as there are high chances of rain throughout the day at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. Thunderstorms are also expected at the game venue during the match time.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The pitch will be under cover due to rain. Thus, there would be some moisture on the deck. The moisture will assist pacers as well as spinners because of the dampness. Thus, bowlers might have an upper hand as compared to batsmen.

Average first innings score: 242 [In the last five games at the venue]

Record of chasing teams: Won – 4 Lost – 1, NR – 0

Top Picks

South Africa:

Quinton de Kock, the man in sublime form, is the most popular pick in this game. He played a match-winning knock in the first game. However, in the next game, Joe Root sent the wicketkeeper-batsman back to the hut cheaply. Quinton will want to continue his good form and lead from the front.

Temba Bavuma is a very good pick at 8.5 credits. The right-handed batsman is a good player of spin, and pace as well. Bavuma is a reliable batsman to bank on. JJ Smuts can be a very good pick as he offers a decent value with the bat as well as the ball. With just one lefty in England’s top six, the left-arm spinner might perform well.

England:

Jonny Bairstow, the attacking opener, is a good pick for this game. The match might be curtailed due to rain and it is good to have an aggressive opener in such games. Joe Root is a consistent player and expect him to deliver the goods more often than not. He is also bowling these days and can add another dimension to give points in the fantasy team. Chris Woakes has bowled well in the series so far. The right-arm pacer has the knack of picking wickets with the new cherry and give healthy points. Woakes is a capable batsman and might contribute with the willow as well.

Expert Advice

As mentioned above, there are heavy chances of rain in this match. The game might be even abandoned. And, even if the match happens, it wouldn’t be probably a full game. Thus, pick top-order batsmen in your team. Also, pick strike bowlers who are wicket-taking options. In case there is a rain-curtailed match, the batters would look to score quickly. Therefore, the bowlers will have a good chance to thrive on and pick up wickets.

Probable Winners:

England is expected to come out as the winners and level the series.
