The 2nd Test between South Africa and India is all set to be played in Johannesburg on January 03, 2022. India hasn’t won a Test series in the Rainbow nation for 29 years and they are being backed to create history this time around. After wreaking havoc in Australia and England earlier this year, the Virat Kohli-led side walked in SA oozing with confidence and it got replicated in their game too.

The visiting side won the first Test by a massive margin of 113 runs and created history by breaching Centurion fortress. KL Rahul was declared as the player of the match for his game-changing century in the first innings of the game. Even though there wasn’t a huge contribution from the batters in the 2nd innings, the visiting bowlers looked adamant to clinch the game in their favour.

Mohammed Shami’s sensational fiver-for also turned out to be instrumental for India in the first game and it remains to be seen with what combination India would enter the 2nd game. The host team already looked on backfoot and with the recent retirement of Quinton de Kock from the longest format, there will be some troubles for them going ahead.

How is the weather expected to be on day one in Johannesburg?

The weather on day one of the second game in Johannesburg is expected to be clear for the entire day as per AccuWeather. The temperature will range between 15 degrees Celsius to 28 degrees Celsius and it will be clear with little clouds and sun. 11 percent precipitation is also expected for the day.

During the first Test between India and South Africa, the second day was entirely washed out and there were four playing days. Also, the thunderstorms were expected for the fifth day but the sky remained clear the entire day. A good action would be expected if all five days remain clear in the upcoming game.

Talking of the first game, many experienced and big names failed to fire for India and they would be expected to take the lead in Johannesburg.
