Squads Announced for the ICC World T20 Qualifier, 2015: The ICC World T20 is scheduled to be held in India from 11^th March, 2016 to 3^rd April, 2016 and the qualifying rounds for the same will commence soon. In the ICC World T20 Qualifier, 2015 to be held in Ireland and Scotland from 9^th to 26^th July, as many as 14 squads will be competing for the 6 available spots in the World T20 championship.

And the top 6 squads of the tournament will be playing alongside the 10-full member squads for the ICC World T20, next year. There will be a total of 51 matches to be played in the qualifier to decide the top 6 out of 14 teams.

The 14 teams would be divided into two groups and the top team from each group will by default qualify for the World T20 while the second and the third ranked teams from each group would play cross-over matches with the two winners and would join the table toppers for the tournament respectively.

Ireland will be looking to establish a hat-trick in this tournament as they were the champions of the league in March, 2012 and in November, 2013.

The Irish squad will be led by their World Cup skipper, William Porterfield. Porterfield also happens to be the leading run scorer of this respective tournament with 680 runs.

Among other squads, Nepal would also feature in the tournament and many of the eyes will be upon them as this neighboring nation of India have shown much of the passion for the game in the recent past.

Meanwhile the Scotland Captain, Preston Mommsen, who has been the ICC Associate and Affiliate Cricketer of the Year, also believes that his side will rise up to the occasion and would definitely produce something ecstatic in the tournament.
