Sri Lanka and India will face off in a 3-match Test series starting Wednesday; only the 2nd bilateral Test series between the two sides in the last six years. Though both the sides are well known for playing a lot of ODI matches in the past decade, it hasn’t been the same case in the longer format. Team India’s tour will be the first full tour for to Sri Lanka since 2008, the last time they played both Test and ODI series.
Speaking about the history of Test cricket between the two teams; they have faced each other in only 38 matches and the Indian team has an upper hand. Though Sri Lanka still awaits their maiden Test win on Indian soil, their record at home is better as they have won 7 Tests and lost 6 to the Indians.
