Rising Pune Supergiant have gone under some major revamp after being only one season old in the Indian Premier League. They have changed their captain and that might have taken some doing as stripping down one of the greatest captains in the history of cricket and giving it into the hands of a cricketer who has not much experience is a gutsy move.

Steve Smith, however, is relaxed and is enjoying his time in India. After a tiresome series against the Indians in their own backyard and scoring some magnificent centuries, Smith is taking some time off cricket. He was seen flaunting his newest avatar on Instagram just hours before.

The Australian captain was wearing a typical Puneri outfit, with the “Puneri Pagadi” on his head. The maroon and white outfit was looking extremely good on the Aussie. Even with the change in outfit, there was something that did not leave Smith that is his bat. He was seen posing with his bat in the hand.

Ajinkya Rahane seemed to have been enjoying the company of his captain as he was also seen with him in the photograph. Smith said that he was trying out some different fashion with his teammate Ajinkya, unaware of the fact that he was wearing a historic attire which resembled the people from Pune.

The Instagram post was captioned as, “Trying out some traditional Indian fashion here in Pune with Ajinkya. What do y’all think? #fashion #dressups.”

Leaving that aside, the Pune squad is currently training at the Maharashtra Cricket Association stadium in Pune. They are training under the guidance of the coach from New Zealand, Stephen Fleming who was with Chennai Super Kings from the inaugural season.

It will be interesting to see how Pune get on with their campaign this year under the new captain when they kick their season off against Mumbai Indians on sixth of April.
