T20 World Cup 2021 Points Table and Team Standings after India vs Scotland Match

India dished out a pounding to the Scotland side to post their second win of the Super 12 stages of the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup. Chasing a meager target of 86 set by Scotland, India went past the finish line with 8 wickets and 81 balls to spare.

The Indian openers, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma toyed with the Scotland bowlers. While Rahul scored a 19-ball 50, Sharma helped himself to 30 off 16 deliveries. Mark Watt and Brad Wheal scalped a wicket each for Scotland.

Batting first, Scotland were bowled out for just 85. Only 2 Scotland batsmen could even cross the 20-run mark as the Indian bowlers strangulated their opponents with some superb bowling. George Munsey top-scored for the Scotland outfit, and helped himself to 24 off 19 deliveries.

Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja were outstanding with the ball. Both of them scalped 3 wickets each to put the brakes on the Scotland batting lineup. With this crushing win, India have moved to 3rd place in the points table, while Scotland are placed at the last spot.

New Zealand beat Namibia by 52 runs

The New Zealand side thrashed Namibia by 52 runs to post their third win of the Super 12 stages of the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup. Wielding the willow first, New Zealand posted a total of 163/4.

Glenn Phillips top-scored for the Kiwis with a superb 21-ball 39*, while James Neesham helped himself to 35* off 23 deliveries. In reply, Namibia could only manage a total of 111/7. The openers put on a 47-run stand, but Namibia lost wickets at regular intervals after that.

Michael van Lingen top-scored with a run-a-ball 25 for Namibia. Tim Southee and Trent Boult scalped 2 wickets each for the Black Caps with the ball. With this victory, the Kiwis are placed at the second spot in the points table, while Namibia are occupying the 5th place.
