South African chinaman Tabraiz Shamsi has made big strides in the international cricket in the recent past. He was an ordinary left arm tweaker who suddenly saw a meteoric rise in his stature as a key bowler for his teams. His exceptional show in the Caribbean Premier League in the 2015 edition caught the attention of the cricket world. He is known for his ample variations including a very deceptive googly.

Playing for the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Tabraiz Shamsi saw a good rise as a player as he returned with 11 wickets with an average of 13.27 with the ball in the 7 matches that he featured in. His exceptional show was good enough for him to earn his maiden call up in the coveted Indian Premier League. He was roped in as a replacement for Samuel Badree in the 2016 edition of the IPL for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

A decent IPL resulted in him getting his national call up soon for the tri-series in West Indies. Since then, there has been no looking back. Shamsi has made the most out of the limited opportunities that he has got thus far. Off the field, Tabraiz is very active on the social media.

Visit to the wax museum

Recently, he made a visit to the popular wax museum ‘Madame Tussauds’ in London. He posted several pictures of his visit on the social media. He tried to be cheeky with his picture along with the statue of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. SRK owns teams in the CPL (Trinbago Knight Riders) and in the IPL (Kolkata Knight Riders).

In a cheeky tweet, he hinted his desire to play for the SRK-owned franchises. “Sooo @iamsrk are u tellin me that u want me 2 come play for @KKRiders and @TKRiders in the @IPL and @CPL next year lol?? #MadameTussauds,” tweeted Tabraiz Shamsi.
