Williamson is among the most versatile cricketers, New Zealand ever has had. He is a batsman for all conditions, something which was evident from the way he plied his trade in the IPL. He doesn’t boast of an intimidating stature, but he ensures that he stands up in the hour of need. He has notched 5156 runs in 127 ODIs at an average of 46.87, pretty decent numbers for a top-order batter.

The Tauranga-born cricketer has 11 tons to his name along with 33 half-centuries and has shown tremendous consistency in his career. He is presently ranked number 9 in ICC’s best batsman with 778 points. He is also the skipper of the team and the Black Caps will be looking up to him in the ICC Cricket World Cup next year in England and Wales, which is 11 months away from now.
