West Indies’ tour of Pakistan is set to get underway on Monday, December 13 with the opening T20I at the National Stadium in Karachi. The three-match T20I series will be followed by a three-match ODI series in Karachi itself. The Men in Green, led by Babar Azam, recently won the T20I series against Bangladesh 3-0 after which they rolled over the same opponent in the Tests as well.
Pakistan also qualified for the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2021 where Australia defeated them in Dubai. West Indies, on the other hand, had a disastrous campaign in the mega event as they managed to beat only Bangladesh in a Super 12 match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. They also lost the two-match series against Sri Lanka played at the Galle International Stadium.
In the meantime, fans haven’t shown enough interest in Pakistan’s home games against the Caribbean unit, ASports reported. The Pakistan Cricket Board has set the ticket prices for the T20I series, starting from Rs 250 to Rs 2000. The ticket prices for the ODI series range from Rs 100 to 1000.
As per reports, the tickets for the Quaid Enclosure worth Rs. 500 have already been sold out. Pakistan and West Indies have already named their respective squads and are gearing up for the start of the series.
